Kempenfelt acquires JD Print and Display
BARRIE, ON—
Kempenfelt Group has purchased signage and display company JD Print and Display.
The acquisition enables Kempenfelt Group to enter the large-format market, expanding its capabilities with wide-format printing and display manufacturing, including indoor and outdoor retail signage, point-of-purchase displays and custom fabrication. The company has also installed a new AGFA UV-Inkjet printer.
The JD Print team will be absorbed, including founding partner Darren Buck and partner Carly Warren. "Becoming a part of Kempenfelt Group allows for an exciting opportunity to introduce a complete range of services to our client base," said Buck in a release. "The partnership we have created almost immediately opens doors to new opportunities, more possibilities and a larger service gamut for all clients," added Warren.
Kempenfelt Group has been in business since 1972 and offers creative, print, direct mail, web-to-print and interactive marketing services. JD Print and Display was founded in 2000.

It certainly sounds like the press release was issued by the buying company (Kempenfelt Group), no?

Doesn't the buying company usually issue the press release and comment on the purchase? Strange.
