Postal increases announced for 2013; design restrictions loosened
OTTAWA—Canada Post is introducing new price and service changes for transaction and direct mail effective Jan. 14, 2013.
You can check upcoming prices on Canada Post's website.
There's no price increase proposed for unaddressed admail in 2013. Additionally, new sorting machines will allow more flexibility in envelope/enclosure design.
The National Association of Major Mail Users (NAMMU) sent a message to members noting, "NAMMU intends to pursue the conclusions from member research with (Canada Post president) M. Deepak Chopra, particularly as it relates to the extraordinary and unacceptable increase on the Transaction Mail category, where we sought incentive to promote growth."
