Mitchell Press acquiring Teldon Print Media assets
VANCOUVER—THIS STORY HAS BEEN UPDATED: Publication printer Teldon Print Media (of Teldon Media Group) in Richmond, B.C. is ceasing operations, while Mitchell Press is buying its assets at the end of the month.

“This acquisition is a strong complement to our business and a testament to the standards of excellence Teldon has built in our industry,” said Mitchell Press president Howard Mitchell in a release. “By adding both these additional capabilities and the associated revenue to our business, we will build upon Mitchell Press’ established brand and strategically build an even stronger range of services for our customers”.

Teldon will continue to operate the other divisions of its business, including Teldon Marketing Products and Alive Publishing (which produces Alive magazine).

UPDATE: About 20 employees from Teldon are headed to Mitchell, growing the workforce at Mitchell to around 100, said the company.

Founded in 1928, Mitchell Press is based in Burnaby, B.C. and calls itself Western Canada’s largest privately-owned commercial heatset web printer.
