Printing shipments fall in July
OTTAWA—July's printing shipments fell considerably with a drop of more than 10% from the same month in 2010. The disappointing July figure is the lowest we've seen in some years. Perhaps it's the summer doldrums, which always impacts shipments, but the stalled economic recovery and the high dollar are likely taking their toll. Keep our fingers crossed for a better Fall.

Shipments July 2011 July 2010 Change %
July $552.5m $615.8m -10.3
Year to date $4.37b $4.57b -4.4
