Sina Printing helps student fulfill internship in U.S.
MARKHAM—Sina Printing (Sinalite) is doing its part to help a student take advantage of an opportunity awaiting her in California.
As of May 16, Niton has raised $526 dollars by selling the offset-printed cards with the help of businesses in Hamilton/Dundas. "I am hoping to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of all my living and travel expenses," she noted.
The Markham-based company recently printed 2,500 greetings cards for free, which in turn are being sold by Sheridan College student Kasia Niton to raise funds toward an unpaid summer internship at Nickelodeon Studios in the U.S.
Mike Meshkati of Sina said Niton's mother, a client, approached the company and explained her daughter's situation. Niton, currently completing a bachelor of applied arts animation program at Sheridan, designed the card and then Sina took over.
