Embassy Digital sold to Astley Gilbert
TORONTO—Embassy Digital has been sold to printing company Astley Gilbert. Former president Bryan Payne confirms he recently sold the company which he created 20 years ago to enjoy the fruits of his labour.
“It’s just the right timing,” says Payne. Also sold was Canada Yearbook Co., which Payne purchased about three years ago to Friesens. President and CEO Curwin Friesen says no staff will be let go in the deal, which grows the company’s share in the Ontario market.
Payne will be staying on with both companies during a transition period.
A contact from Astley Gilbert could not be reached by press time.
