Komunik back as Datamark Systems
MONTREAL—The company that bought the assets of Komunik back in February is composed of previous management personnel from Datamark Systems Group, backed with funding from an investment management company. At the time of the sale announcement, the purchaser was described only as a numbered company.
Jeffrey Zunenshine, former CEO of Datamark, is back at the helm of the company, now operating as Datamark Systems. He told PrintCan the new entity has been operating since the end of March delivering a range of printing, but does not offer the marketing and advertising services that Komunk offered.
Datamark is now a privately held company; Komunik had been a public company. The Datamark name was resuscitated to leverage its longstanding reputation and familiarity among clients and in the marketplace, said Zunenshine.
Komunik, a direct mail and marketing company, bought Datamark Systems Group in 2007 for $28.1 million.
