DIA hosts Adobe presentation
VAUGHAN, ON—About 50 printers and prepress professionals gathered at the huge Paperlinx facility last night to learn about the latest upgrades to Adobe Creative Suites aimed at the printing industry.

The presentation was part of the Digital Imaging Association’s regular meeting schedule, and was given by business development manager Sebastian Distefano of Adobe. He reviewed print-related upgrades in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Adobe Bridge.

Mark Lewiecki, senior product manager for Adobe’s print technology group, also gave an update on the Adobe PDF Print Engine; version 2 was launched at the last Drupa, and Lewiecki reported that a new PDF PrintEngine standard for variable data printing is being developed by independent parties.
