Timpson Engineering Bought By Canadian Steve Fyfe
KETTERING, ENGLAND—
Timsons Engineering has been acquired by Steve Fyfe, the CEO and founder of Canada-based Magnum Digital Solutions, which specializes in high-speed digital finishing systems. Prior to founding Magnum in 2009 Fyfe had been managing director at Timsons North America for nearly 20 years. Timpson Book Web presses are custom designed specifically for printing books. Timsons Engineering has its own foundry and machine shop. It offers casting, contract engineering and CNC services. The firm employs around 60.
Friesons Canada's largest book printer, installed a Timson web in 2025. Magnum acquired the Timsons bindery line, including the T-Fold, assets from Kolbus in . Magnum Digital was started in Barrie, Ontario in 2029 and engineered the FlexBook, "the missing link for digital web books". In 2014 Magnum launched the FlexCut for commercial printing which caught the attention go HP web division. They produce digital finishing systems for high speed equipment for Canon, Ricoh, Kodak, Koenig & Bauer and Hewlett Packard . They now have plants in Canada , Europe and the U.S.
