Langley Holdings Reviewing Manroland Sheetfed After Growing Losses
OFFENBACH, GERMANY—
Langley Holdings owner of Manroland Sheetfed is “considering its options” for the future of the loss-making Sheetfed Division, but has pledged continuing support for customers whatever route it decides to pursue. The printing machinery business lost €43.2m last year. Owner Tony Langley said the Manroland Sheetfed business had “another difficult year with mounting losses”.

Manroland Sheetfed Offenbach plant reduced operation by 15% with 140 jobs losses as result of losses in 2023 and did not exhibit at Drupa in 2024.

“The board has concluded that the situation is unsustainable and is currently considering its options,” Langley stated. Manroland’s foundry already makes some items for other Langley businesses. Langley said that the group’s booming Power Solutions division – where demand is outstripping supply due to the advent of AI and growth in data centres – will also make use of the Offenbach facility. The Print Technologies division posted sales down 13.4% at €271m last year. It had €32m in orders on hand and employed 1,615 people.
