Gen Z "Print Nerd" Video Series Launches
TORONTO—
Canadian Print Scholarships (CPS) is launching an authentic, student-led video initiative to ensure the graphics communication sector isn't left out of the conversation. Featuring Sheilae Siagian, a Toronto Metropolitan University student and scholarship recipient, the "Sheilae The Print Nerd" series delivers short-form, mobile-first content designed to meet students on their preferred platforms. By transforming complex industrial processes into engaging"edutainment," CPS is providing industry stakeholders with a digital toolkit to seed the
internet with the AI- searchable content necessary to inspire the next generation of print professionals Bridging the "Missing Link" in Recruitment The series was developed by CPS to address a critical "missing link" in attracting youth to the print and graphics communication sector. "There was no short video content on popular social channels that could inspire a high school student to explore our industry deeper," says Steve Falk, Executive Director of CPS. In response, the organization tapped into the trend of student- creators to deliver a subtle but powerful message: Printed stuff is all around you, it’s actually pretty neat, and there are incredible careers behind it.
