Print ePS is to become part of CAI Software in a deal described as “a merger of equals”. MIS and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) giant eProductivity Software was formed when EFI sold its MIS wing to private equity house STG in early 2022. The business was subsequently split into two operating units: Print ePS and ePS Packaging. STG has owned US-headquartered CAI Software since December 2021.

CAI offers a range of ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and integrations to a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, warehousing and distribution, food and beverage, and manufacturing. Print ePS will become the Graphic Communications business unit of CAI, and the enlarged business will known as CAI Software. The ePS Packaging division is not included in the deal, and will continue as a separate, independent company. CAI Graphic Communications encompasses a host of familiar MIS brands including Tharstern, Technique, Avanti, Pace, Monarch, EPMS, Printsmith Vision and the new cloud-based Nubium system.
