Perfecta Cutting Systems Restructuring
SOLMS, GERMANY—
Business operations will continue as normal “without restrictions”, customers will continue to be supported, and wages for the firm’s 86 employees are secured to the end of February. Perfecta lays claim to being the world’s oldest manufacturer of cutting machines. Its product range spans standalone devices to fully automatic networked systems in a range of sizes. Its cutters are in use at customers across 70 countries. Other companies in the Baumann Group are not affected by the situation at Perfecta. The sister companies are Baumann Maschinenbau Solms, Wohlenberg Bookbinding Systems, and Wohlenberg Cutting Systems. Absolute Printing Equipment out of Indianapolis is the North America distributor for Perfecta Cutters.

Perfecta Schneidemaschinenwerk has filed for self-administered insolvency and is searching for fresh investment. Known as Perfecta Cutting Systems – is part of the Baumann Group and dates back to 1896. The company filed for insolvency proceedings under self-administration at the end of last year and has now gained court approval.
