Roland DG has rolled out a series of engineering and performance updates to its TY-300 direct-to-film (DTF) printer. Designed to support high-duty-cycle apparel production, the enhanced device introduces increased ink system capacity, improved white-ink stability, and workflow optimizations. Roland DG said the white-ink reservoir capacity has been doubled, which addresses “one of the most demanding components of the DTF workflow”.
the major Canadian dealers include Spicers , ND Graphics and TG Graphics.

The updated TY-300 can print at up to 10.9sqm/hr in standard mode and 17.48sqm/hr in high-speed mode. This is driven by the printer’s dual-printhead architecture, optimized firing patterns and high-efficiency drying control. Meanwhile, advanced colour management capabilities, including Roland DG’s True Rich Color technology, are said to deliver broader gamut rendering, smoother gradients and more stable greys. The device’s four-channel white architecture maintains consistent opacity across large or dense areas, “improving edge crispness and fine-detail reproduction even under fast-pass conditions”, according to Roland DG. The TY-300 integrates with VersaWorks RIP, certified DTF film and powders, and Roland DG Care support.
