Cober Buys West Canadian Digital Imaging
CALGARY—
Cober, announced the acquisition of Alberta based West Canadian Digital Imaging (WCD) digital print and wide format signage division. West Canadian Digital Image is based in Calgary, Alberta and has a wide range of services including personalized, on-demand print and fulfillment. The company was founded in 1952 and was later acquired by George Brookman in 1984. West Canadian Digital Imaging was listed as Canada's 32nd largest printer with sales over $34 million.They operate a 60,000 square feet of production space. Locations listed include Edmonton, Red Deer, Fort McMurry .Toronto, Sarnia and Mississauga.
Cober expanded their Kitchener plant to over 200,000 sq. Ft. The Kitchen plant is one of the largest in South West Ontario. Cober has locations in Kitchener and Barrie, Ontario. Cober Evolving Solutions was founded 1916, it offers conventional print, web-based marketing, bindery, mailing, warehousing management, fulfillment, distribution and online services. They recently got the contract to print all of Annex Media's 50 plus publications. The WCD strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in Cober’s history and reinforces their commitment to delivering brand solutions nationwide.
