VANCOUVER—  As of February 28th, 2023, Apak Systems is OUT OF BUSINESS after over 35 years serving the printing industry. Apak was a trade bindery that serviced the Vancouver and surrounding area. Reason given for closing is "they never recovered from the pandemic". "No job is to big or to small" was their motto, running jobs as smalls as 5-10 copies and as many as 250,000 copies. Apak had been offering bookbinding services, offer 4 main types of book binding;Plastic Coil binding, Wire-o binding, Perfect binding and Multibinding. Other bindery services included paper tags and eyeletting, index tabs, laminating and calendar tinning. TOS Bindery and Fortescue Bindery in the Toronto area have closed in the last month.
