Friesens Orders World's First TimsonsCPI T48A Book Press
ALTONA, MANITOBA—
Friesen has ordered the first new TimsonsCPI T48A press to be manufactured. It will add to Friesen's existing T32 and T48 Timsons presses. The new T48A will have a number of new features for enhanced performance, and will be the first new Timsons press to be manufactured in over 10 years. Book printer CPI UK and Timsons Engineering set up TimsonsCPI together in 2021, in order to revive the once popular Timsons offset book presse.
Friesens reached over $100 million in sales in 2022. Friesens is a 112-year old premier book, yearbook and packaging printer. The 600 employee-owners serve publishers, schools, self-publishers, and consumer brands from their 350,000 sq. ft. facilities in Altona, Manitoba, Canada. They are listed as Canada's 18th largest printer and a majority of their sales are south of the border .
