The municipality has a contact with a printing company to print and mail 49,000 tax bills at the beginning of July  as part of the first instalment of the final billing. “Chatham-Kent staff began  receiving multiple calls from property owners regarding undelivered tax bills . Once the bills were delivered to Canada Post, further problems were discovered that has resulted in reprinting  all 35,000 tax bills. Approximately 14,000 bills were printed at a separate facility and have been delivered to Canada Post. No interest will be charged on late tax bill payments. Who the transactional printer was was not given but it was probably not their most profitable job.
