At the end of May Stora Enso made a further reduction in its future paper production capacity with the announcement that it was selling its 310,000 tonne capacity Sachsen newsprint mill in Germany to Model Group, which will convert the mill to make container board. Stora Enso reduced capacity is expected to further tighten the European paper market which will affect the North American market . A raft of paper mils have announced  price increases of between 4% and 8% in the last several months . With the Storo Enso closures more price increase are expected.
