Vistaprint Has Database Breach
NETHERLANDS—
Vistaprint is the latest company to expose customer data online .The database, which contained more than 51,000 customer service interactions, was found not protected with a password. It included the customer’s name, email address, phone number and the date and time of their interaction with customer service and other fields , operating system and internet service provider.
Vistaprint have verified that no credit or debit card information was involved . The database breach records , covering customers in the U.S., the U.K. and Ireland. Vistqprint has not confirmed if any Canadian clients were involved. Since the parent company Cimpress is located in The Netherlands, it’s subject to the European Union General Data Protection Regulation. European bodies tasked with enforcing GDPR have been active in doing so.
