Webcom Sold to Marquis Book Printing

Marquis Book Printing Inc., has announced that it has acquired Webcom Inc. This creates Canada's largest book printer bypassing Friesens and Transcontinental with sales over $100 million. Marquis will have  an annual production capacity of over 100 million books. With  three  printing plants Louiseville Quebec, Montmagny Qurbec and Toronto Ontario with over a total of 420,000 sq. ft of space and over 600 employees.
 
Marquis  serves the  trade publishers and  Webcom’s  supporting educational and professional reference publishers.
Marquis has recently invested more than $9 million in ink jet equipment and also bought a Timsons ZMR press from the former Edwards Brothers Malloy book printers. Webcom had recently bought York Bookbinders.
