Glenmore Custom Print + Packaging installs an Eco-Eagle Cold Foil system
RICHMOND BC—Eagle Systems Inc., has installed an Eco-Eagle Cold Foil system at Richmond B.C.’s Glenmore Custom Print + Packaging. The installation was completed in mid-June. Eagle Systems is a U.S. based developer and manufacturer of foil enhancement equipment.

Glenmore Custom Print + Packaging is a family owned and operated commercial printing and folding carton manufacturer.

Eagle Systems president Mike King stands between Glenmore general manager James Rowley (L) and operations manager Stefan Congram as their new cold foil system fires up behind them.

The new installation operates in unison with the company’s Heidelberg XL 106 8 colour plus coater UV offset press. According to Glenmore, 40 % of its revenue is driven by folding carton, 50% by commercial sheetfed and 10% by digital printing.

“We’ve spent the last month dialing the Eagle system in and learning its unique capabilities,” general manager James Rowley said. “So far the reaction from our clients has been positive. While cold foil will have an impact on our overall folding carton business, it’ll really help us cultivate our higher-end confectionery, beverage, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical packaging segments. In addition, Eagle also offers us a new product range to offer our POP signage clients.

Eagle president Mike King showed us that he would run through a brick wall to help us succeed. His commitment to cold foil was the most impressive, especially when compared to his competitors. Vendors and printers alike said that the Eagle was the most reliable and well-serviced system on the market. It seemed like a no brainer. We quickly came to the consensus that Eagle gave us the best chance at a faster ROI.”
