QUEBEC— Graphic Packaging International Canada, ULC, a subsidiary of the Atlanta GA-based Graphic Packaging Holding Company, has announced the closure of its thermo mechanical paperboard mill in Jonquiere, QC.

The mill officially closed on Monday July 13, and will affect almost 140 employees.

"The closing of the Jonquiere facility was a difficult decision. We are working closely with the affected employees to provide support and assistance,” Mike Doss, president and chief operating office said.

Graphic Packaging Holding Company is a provider of packaging for a variety of food products, beverages, and other consumer products companies. There are four other Graphic Packaging locations across the country.
