Report on Quebec industry expected next year
OTTAWA—Several relevant industry partners have joined together to create a report on the state of the printing industry in Quebec. They are: The Canadian Printing industries Association (CPIA), the Quebec Printing Industry Association (AQII), the Quebec Technical Association of Flexography and Packaging Manufacturers (ATFFEQ), the Institute of Graphic Communications and Printability (ICI) and the Graphic Communications Sector Counsel of Quebec (CSMOCGQ).
CPIA took part in developing the process used to communicate with printers and related industry participants province-wide. The associations contracted an expert research group to write the report.
“For Quebec printers, this report will be an important tool and reference in identifying tendencies within our print market, including major capital investment in technology, the business environment and the main trends of the industry,” Denis Leftakis, president of AQII said. “The success of this initiative would not have been possible without the help of the CPIA and our other industry partners.”
The survey was launched on Nov. 17 and sent to more than 2,500 Quebec printing industry participants. The report is expected to be published in early 2015 and will include analysis and conclusions regarding the economic, technological, and management issues affecting the printing industry. It will also touch on how, or if Quebec printers are adopting new business strategies.
