New printing company Cardston preparing for business
POINT-CLAIRE, QC—This is an update to an earlier story about Cardston.

A new printing business emerging in Montreal known as Cardston is not a rebirth of Graphica in Sherbrooke which closed down earlier this year, as previously suggested by a former employee.

Gino Gaudreau sent a Twitter message to PrintCAN in July noting, "After the death of Graphica Printing, a new company is born."

Gaudreau said today that while he has joined Cardston as sales executive, he is the only former employee of Graphica on the new team. "It's a totallly new company," stressed Gaudreau.

He was tight-lipped about the owners of Cardston, saying only that three individuals bought some equipment from a dealer in Toronto.

He said while Cardston is not quite ready for business yet, more details will be available near the end of September. However, Cardston already has a 1-800 number set up, and the automated message explains Cardston will supply cards and packaging.
