Canadian binderies recognized in Products of Excellence awards
PITTSBURGH, PA—Pacific Bindery Services in Vancouver and Anstey Bookbinding in Toronto were the Canadian winners of the Binding Industries Association (BIA) Products of Excellence awards announced recently for 2011.
Pacific won in the mechanical binding category, while Anstey was named best for self-promotion.
The contest accepted entries from around the world.
"As the world's only competition specifically for graphic finishers and custom loose-leaf companies, the POE awards provides a platform for companies to demonstrate the value they provide to the graphic arts community," reads a release from the BIA. "These awards are judged by experts in the industry, and entries must be technically flawless to win."
Winners of the POE awards receive a listing on
www.bindingawards.com, a featured article in The Binding Edge magazine and Printing Industries of America: The Magazine, publicity on social media, and a plaque, noted the release.
The BIA describes itself as a special interest group of the Printing Industries of America, representing trade binderies, graphic finishers, custom loose-leaf manufacturers, and suppliers.
