Montreal Gazette brings Sunday paper online
MONTREAL—The Postmedia Network Canada Corp. owned Montreal Gazette has announced it will stop publishing its Sunday print edition in August and move to a web-only version of the paper that day.
The newspaper’s publisher and editor in chief Alan Allnutt, who prints the paper in house told the CBC the Sunday digital edition will help cut costs.
A number of the print features, such as columns and comics that are in Sunday's paper, will move to the Saturday edition.
Postmedia Network Canada Corp. is the new owner of the Gazette after acquiring Canwest's newspaper division for $1.1 billion.
