Ryerson celebrates Flexographic press installation
TORONTO—Yesterday, Ryerson University’s Graphic Communication Management program celebrated the installation of a Comco Cadet 7” 4-colour flexo press during a reception at the school. The press was brought to the school by the Flexographic Technical Association under the Flexo in Education Program with the help of the Canadian Flexographic Training Committee.
“When I speak to people in the industry I say there are two types of printers,” said Ron Schroder, chairman of the Canadian Flexographic Training Committee. “Those who work with flexographic equipment and those who are about to.”
Other speakers at the event included Mark Cisternino, president of the Flexographic Technical Association, Dr. Daniel Doz, dean of the Communication and Design program, Adam Kahan, vice president of university advancement, and Ian Baitz, associate chair of the Graphic Communication Management program.
