KBR Graphics now Canadian distributor for MGI
MGI USA, the multi-substrate (paper, plastic and envelopes) digital press and finishing solution manufacturer, announced that they have appointed KBR Graphics Ltd. as their Canadian distribution partner.

KBR Graphics, with locations in Montreal and Toronto, has provided comprehensive sales and service support for the Canadian graphics market since 1977. They are the exclusive Canadian distributor (except British Colombia) for KBA sheetfed press products, service and parts and also represent a diverse range of printing and finishing manufacturers including Standard Horizon, Hamada, Busch, Challenge, Perfecta USA, Baumfolder and others.
“We’ve observed the meteoric impact that digital technology has had on the small offset market, and we felt that it was time to make the transition to digital,” said Karl Belafi Sr., President of KBR Graphics Ltd.
“As the Canadian distributor for KBA, we realized that MGI’s Meteor line of digital presses fit perfectly with our commercial and packaging accounts. There is a greater demand in the Canadian market for shorter runs, in both printing and photography. We see great potential in MGI’s entire line of digital printing and finishing solutions, especially the Meteor DP60 Pro® multi-substrate digital press, JETvarnish® digital inkjet spot UV coater, and the Meteor DP20® 4-in-1 digital photo press, all of which produce the highest quality prints in a user-friendly package.”
“We have built a reputation for service and sales and now look forward to addressing the digital needs of our present and future business partners,” said Belafi.
Together with their international and US dealer/distributor network, MGI USA presents the most comprehensive line of digital printing and finishing solutions in the industry, including the Meteor DP60 Pro (multi-substrate digital press for paper, plastics & envelopes), JETvarnish (digital inkjet spot UV coater), Meteor DP20 (4-in-1 digital photo press) UVarnish® (offline auto-feed UV/IR coater), PressCard Pro® (hot platen lamination unit), PunchCard Pro® (credit card format die cutter), UFA3® (multi-function paper finishing station) and the EnvelopExpress® (high capacity envelope feeder).
MGI’s digital technologies are recognized as the most versatile and innovative on the global graphics market and provide true value-added solutions to thousands of satisfied customers worldwide. Within the last year, three separate products (Meteor DP60 Pro, JETvarnish and Meteor DP20) have won a combined seven awards for technological innovation in three separate markets (graphics/commercial printing, packaging, photo imaging).
MGI and KBR will be present at Graphics Canada, Canada’s largest graphics, printing and converting show, held November 12-14, 2009 at the Toronto International Centre (booth #3419).
