Industry Friends, faculty staff and alumni are welcome  to an evening " Remembering Mary Black"  on October 10th at 7:00. It will be held at Ryerson University, Toronto.  ! Mary Black is best known in the industry when she became Chair of Ryerson University's School of Graphic Communications Management in 1996. During her 10 years at Ryerson  she was the force behind the building of the Heidelberg Centre which gave the graphic arts management students their own building.

The building has also become a focal point for the industry. Mary also was went to  a lot of  high school career days and convinced a many  young people to come into the printing industry. By the time she left Ryerson over half the graduating class were females.
