Magnum Printing to buy Dye & Durham
TORONTO—Magnum Fine Commercial Printing has agreed to purchase Dye & Durham, a full-service printer and law office supplier. Both printers are subsidiaries of larger companies; Magnum belongs to Intertainment Media Inc. while Dye & Durham belongs to The Cartwright Group Ltd.

The companies are no strangers to one another: Magnum has been part of Dye & Durham’s group of “alliance printers” since 2004. As part of the deal, Al Monteath, vice president of Dye & Durham’s graphics division, will jump ship to Magnum as VP of business development.

Magnum plans on introducing Dye & Durham customers to its proprietary online MIS platform, which allows users to manage print and collateral materials on demand.

The deal is scheduled to close Sept. 30.
