Bankruptcies decline in 2008
OTTAWA—Print shop bankruptcies in 2008 slipped to their lowest level since at least 2001, according to the latest figures from the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcies.

A total of 25 establishments shuttered last year, with 15 of them in Ontario. Quebec saw 6 shops fold, and New Brunswick and B.C. each recorded two apiece. No quick print shops or business forms companies were affected.

For the previous years, 39 print shops filed for bankruptcy in 2007, 30 in 2006, 45 printers declared bankruptcy in 2005, 37 in 2004, 45 in 2003, and 46 in 2002.
